I come from a long line of artists: Both my mother and my grandmother went to art school, and before them was a long line of West Country artisans and craftspeople. I have been drawing and painting since before I can remember, and designing on computers since my family's first black and white Mac. I have won a number of visual art competitions, both in Scotland when I was younger, and through high school.

In high school I studied with Bob Freeman, and at Brown I worked with Elise Ansel, among others. I have designed posters for film and theatre, websites, Brown University clothing, concept art for films and computer games, and advertising and logo work for a number of organisations.
